I can put your mind at ease, I have registered with imageshack. It works very well, I log in and it has all my uploaded images neatly saved on my page. I can dig them up without a fuzz. (i use a secondary email, just incase it gets atacked with a spambot, but so far hasnt happened, been registered one year already)
One gold per blank scroll, as many as you need!

So was just thinking, with our growing population, will this command be too revealing? Will it be abused? Does the good it bring outweigh the bad?
If people want to break into someones home, or steal someone's chickens *eyes around*, they can simply use [whosonline command to check if the coast is clear?
Or if they are mining, chopping wood or standing at the forge late at night, they can do the same and see if any evildoers are about.
I personally would like the command to just show the number of users online, not the individual users by name.
Thoughts?
Im sure its possible to code it so when you hit gm, you get a boost of say ...10% extra exc chance.
I agree with Althy's point here. Yes, exceptional should be difficult, specially on certain things like a plate tunic or an advanced piece of weaponry, but theres a difference between difficult and ridiculous.
Heres an alternative to screenshot capture, its the best at what it does if you ask me.
your going to get fed up of my posts soon lol, any chance arms lore can increase success chance? at gm smithing success on platemail tunic is 50.0% exceptional is 5.0%, at gm tailor studded tunic is success 62.0% exceptional 17.0%
I know you guys want to keep the emphasis off gm/exceptional but at these rates you need to gm just to have a chance of creating the item at anything like a reasonable cost if you want to charge other players for just standard item and exceptional plate is for showing off what you can do nothing more, I have literally burned through over 2k ingots trying to make an exceptional plate tunic and that's recycling the non exceptional to get more tries never mind trying to sell all of them!
Also though not -quite- as bad you burn through a lot on the studded tunics and since arms lore works to tell you the condition of items it makes sense IC that the more you know about arms and armour the better quality you can make them
I already posted about this further up, but yea, I totally agree with Althy here, sure some items should be harder to craft exceptionally then others, but when you've been a smith/tailor/fletcher or what have you for half your life(uo life) and youre an accomplished crafter, you shouldn't fail quite so much. Can throw an example in here aswell, I was gonna craft a repeater crossbow for someone and ended up using nearly 1k wood just to get that one exceptional repeater crossbow (gm skill) so I should have charged like an obscene amount of gold for it to just break even.
is there please please please a change log somewhere? you guys are doing a great job evolving the shard and I know its a lot of work but I think I need a reference point lol. I came to the orc camp today and discovered i now need a trap removal kit which is fine but i had to run off and make one and then come back, do throwing daggers use the throwing skill or a different skill? I've noticed quite a few AoS weapons in the blacksmith menu, there's quite a bit going on and i just think it would be easier if folks knew what had changed/was new
*Haap pressed "like" on this*
Feel free to pester any available GMs to lock this stuff down for you.
Funny, I was just about to do that..:D
Neutral. There should be definite risk to having lots of stuff. But i also think a safe limited storage( safe deposit box ) wouldnt be totally unreasonable.
a safe, secure storage for say ten items so a pile gold ingots logs boards or whatever your char collects, regs and bottles for alchemists for example then the rest you just take the risk I guess
.........I think there is still a need for some secure storage.
I concur with these statements, ideas...and to add something to it, you can make items max stack amount a lot less then 60k, say 5k are maximum stacksize for logs, ingots, regs and bottles and such. And maybe 1k max stacksize for gold. That way you cant have room for obscene amounts of resources/gold in the secure bank, just enough to get back on your feet if your estate is robbed blank.
Im all for realism etc, and pickable chests and homes etc, but it shouldn't get to a point where it gets tedious...say loosing all your ingots/logs that you just spent 2 hours a day for 5 days gathering. That would create a tedious, boring and repetitive action and people would loose interest sooner or later to keep replenishing stolen goods too often.
This "system" would make the very rich and greedy people the real victims, as it should be, the average joe's wouldn't get AS victimized, wich imo is a good thing.
I agree with Delfer, secure storage can be quite...destructive both for economy and....makes people lazy in certain aspects. Valuables and wealth should feel fleeting and risky, but at the same time its not desired(imo) that someone can come and wash away 2 weeks of hard labour in the woods/mines etc. At the time I cant think of anything that would balance this well.
Yea, one thing EA/OSI did wrong was not balance the theft vs secure items. Yes some items should be secure from theft because some things you work really hard for over a long period of time, would suck hard to loose stuff you've spent 2 weeks collecting in just 5 minutes. Some people don't want to handle that. But as I said the balance must be kept, what is stealable/pickable and therefor subject to theft and what is not? I for one would like to see a balance, not favourable to just one of the sides.
Healing skill at 90 something and a hit at 1 or 5 or such hp makes my fingers slip:(
Make fingers slip harder to happen as your healing skill increases please.
Right now it favors the fast weapons alot, because it makes fingers slip on every hit.
Im sure they could make a small prebuilt lumber cot buyable as a deed and placed where theres room, size 7x7, 3x containers etc. And that's how people start their house dream, if they want something bigger id say they should have to go through the gms, just my 2 scents.
When you've GMed your crafting skill you should get a boost to exceptional crafting chance. When you've created 100s of plate arms or repeating crossbows or what have you, you shouldn't only have a 20ish % chance at exceptional. You should be making them much more reliably at a superb quality, youre a grandmaster(crafter) afterall.
Just like Ive already told Hoagie. Bola Balls. Make em work something like paralyze special move. We need a "constant running away" stopper. Ofcourse they should have a cooldown timer so it doesn't get silly.
Backstab/Sneakattack. Yes,yes I know this isn't D&D. But it does make sense, anyone sneaky enough to crawl close enough to an unsuspecting foe and deliver a dagger or sword or whatever melee weapon into someones back deservers a little bonus. 25% damage increase on a melee strike from hiding.
Yea buff and debuff icons does that, if you drink a strength potion etc you get a buff icon, if youre poisoned/cursed you get a debuff icon etc.
Altho its not here ..yet.
Craftable bottles in the tinkerer menu, only makes sense.
Heres to start it off, a few years old pic but I haven't taken any operations so I still look like this, roughly.
The only rule on this thread, DONT post without also posting a picture! yea!
You can always assassinate Althys cows *evil grin*
Theres an antimacro code in place, makes so you can only gain 0.3 armslore per item in a given time, so if you wait say 30 minutes you may gain another 0.3 from that item, but its easier to change items, for instance as you craft.
I gmed armslore just a day or so ago. It raised while I was crafting bows and while I was loring items. Its not unheard of that some skills manage to lock themselves on individual characters(bug), it has happened to me on Europa. And a GM had to come and "tickle" me. True story.
