I'm new to town and I'm looking for some employment. I can work any desk job. Anything a clerk or scribe would do I can do cheaper. I can also cook, clean, and look after animals. Your bank looks a little dusty, I could take care of that for you too. Any odd-jobs are my specialty! So let's hear it now, what do you have for me?

I require a small supply of -preserved- meat to be used in the event of a disaster or a food shortage. Venison, cow or chicken are acceptable meats.
This meat will be put into storage so it must be dried and salted for preservation purposes.
In exchange for the meat and the service, I have mainly alligator hides to barter. However, alternate payment may be arranged.

[OOC: This is strictly an RP task so I don't need someone to bring me a ridiculous number of 'meat items' all stacked together. Only collect meat from animals that are edible (No lizard men or alligators) and if you can't find any deer because they've been over hunted or can't kill cows because they belong to someone then react accordingly if you want to complete the order. I'm basically just trying to create an opportunity for RP so make something fun of it.]

I am in need of a carpenter to make me 100 blank scrolls, the sooner the better.
If the work is well done and the price is fair I will certainly be interested in a long term supply agreement.
P.S - I would also like a single locked wooden chest to be made. This order is separate and may be filled by a different carpenter.

[OOC: I am very fond of journals and suggest you make a shorthand version using an IC book. I say this only because of how much potential RP can come from finding a journal in someone's house/on their body. It would be really awesome to find a journal and have your character suddenly pity/loathe/etc the journal's owner. I encourage anyone and everyone to make an IC journal and guard it/lose it/whatever you want]

On the topic of storage, I think houses should get a lot more containers. Putting everything in one chest doesn't make any sense. A house should at least have a dresser for clothes, crates for tools and a smaller box for small valuables. It would also help to slow down thieves if they had to prioritize which box they pick(assuming anyone else is online of course)

Can't we just apply the honor system to theft? I'm under the impression you shouldn't be taking anything more than what you can RP walking away without arousing suspicion. If anyone is dry looting or stealing stacks of ingots/wood/leather than they shouldn't be on our shard. I assume GM's would have a way of detecting the person and telling them to stop if it happened, and then returning the resources. But secure storage is such a lame solution that people will use to store everything valuable in and their other storage will be empty.
